Refund Application Eligibility

Please read the following information before filling out the refund application.

  • Please make sure you have read and understood BC Parks reservation policies, including the policy within your confirmation email and the How to get a refund webpage.
  • It is the customer's responsibility to read the BC Parks Reservation Policies and research the type of activities and facilities available in BC Parks and to confirm travel plans before making a reservation.
  • Transaction fees (reservation, change and cancellation) or the call-centre surcharge are non-refundable except for park closures or evacuations.
  • Refund request application forms must be completed in full. Only completed forms will be processed.
  • All completed refund application forms will receive a reply, including those that have not been approved.

Eligibility requirements:

  1. Your reservation must be cancelled prior to filling out this form. You must have made every effort to cancel your reservation. Calling the park operator is not considered a cancellation.
    Please cancel by either
    1. logging into your account at camping.bcparks.ca or,
    2. calling 1-800-689-9025 (call centre surcharge will apply).
  2. Refunds must clearly align with the Grounds for a Refund. Documentation must be provided to support your claim for serious medical issue, death in family and serious motor vehicle accident claim.
  3. Refund application forms must be submitted to Reservation Service within 3 months of the intended arrival date. Applications submitted more than 3 months will not be approved.
  4. You will not be eligible to receive a refund if:
    1. You have arrived in-park. If you arrived in-park you must connect with the park operator to inquire about receiving a refund. Park operator contact information can be found on individual BC Parks pages.
    2. You are submitting for a reason not stated in the Grounds for a refund, this includes
      1. Errors made while reserving e.g., selecting incorrect dates;
      2. Misunderstanding or unaware of Cancellation and Change window policy; and,
      3. Park conditions.
    3. Backcountry permit registrations are ineligible to receive refunds except for park closures or evacuations.

Please note that documentation is required for refund requests (Doctor’s note, death certificate, etc.). BC Parks will not review or respond to refund requests that are clearly not grounds for a refund.

This information is collected by BC Parks, under Section(c) and 26(e) of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act for the purpose of making and maintaining a reservation at a campground location and to evaluate the reservation system and process. This may include posting your name for your reservation at the campground.
